Adding or Uploading Formulas
You can manage formulas in iKosher by either manually adding them or uploading them in bulk.
If you're uploading a formula, make sure all information is accurate—this is often a one-time process, and incorrect details may cause the upload to fail.
Using the Upload Feature
When uploading a formula, a screen will appear allowing you to download a template. This template is an Excel file that includes fields such as:
-
Company name
-
Plant name
-
Formula name
-
Formula code
It is critical that the company and plant names match exactly as they appear in iKosher. If they are even slightly different from your internal naming, the system will not accept the upload.
Completing the Template
In the Excel sheet, fill out all required information, including:
-
Raw material codes
-
Ingredient names
If the formula applies to multiple products, go to the Products section in iKosher and enter the necessary product details.
If the formula includes sub-formulas, make sure to list all components as individual ingredients within the main formula—do not add them as separate sub-formula entries.
Handling Upload Errors
If there is an issue with your upload, it will be flagged immediately. You can view the error in the Formula Failure Manager, where you’ll find details to help you correct and re-upload the file.
